Many CCFs have their own musical groups, whether that’s a marching band or a military ensemble. There are also lots of national opportunities for CCF cadets, regardless of whether the school has its own musical offering.
Each year around 100 CCF cadets from across all of the Services, and from all over the country attend one of three Royal Navy-led tri-Service camps held in Dartmouth. The camp, which is intense but highly enjoyable, sees the group perform in front of the Second Sea Lord at the parade at the end of the week.
There are also many opportunities within the individual Services, including the RAF’s Concert Band, who have performed all around the world, and even recorded their own CD - and their marching band, who perform at prestigious events around the country.
