CCFA AWARDS

CCFA Praiseworthy Action Award

CCFA provide the praiseworthy action award scheme recognising cadets and Adult Volunteers for rendering help and assistance to the general community (including other cadets and Adult Volunteers) from minor incidents to life-saving situations and other real-life emergencies. Nominees can receive the CCFA Praiseworthy Action Certificate and, for exceptional service, the higher-level Meritorious Action Certificate. CCFA also review all praiseworthy action nominations for external awards, including the Royal Humane Society, British Citizen Award, League of Mercy and other appropriate awards. External Awards

The Royal Humane Society awards to cadets and adult volunteers include the Resuscitation Certificate, Commendation, Testimonials in Parchment and Vellum, and the Bronze Medal. The Society also awarded the President’s Medal for the most outstanding act by a young person in the previous year. Since it was instituted in 2018, army cadets have been bestowed with four of the six medals including a CCF cadet.

CCF cadets have also featured in the British Citizen Awards which include the presentation of a medal at the Palace of Westminster.

CCF cadets are eligible for the very prestigious League of Mercy’s Distinguished Community Service Medal for Cadets.

CCFA will advise on suitable external awards when reviewing nominations for praiseworthy action. The first step is to complete the praiseworthy action nomination form and return it to [email protected]

CCFA President’s Certificate

CCFA President’s Certificates are awarded for exceptional service in non-military activity. Nominations are also reviewed for other external awards.

This award is for the CCF CFAVs and Cadets and is available all year round.
