The Army Cadet Force Association is looking for an experienced and responsible communications and marketing professional to help develop and deliver a wide-ranging programme of promotional activity for the Army Cadet Force (ACF).

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Location: Central London

Role: Communications and PR

Sector: Charity

Contract: Permanent

Working within a small team, you will be responsible for producing and delivering effective and timely external communications to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders as well as helping to support efforts to recruit and retain adult volunteers and cadets.

The role requires an intelligent, flexible and experienced communications professional with tact, diplomacy and a proven ability to take personal responsibility for delivering results. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, superb attention to detail, and the ability to craft engaging copy for a wide range of print and digital media. An interest in, or experience of, the cadet forces is also desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and improve communications across the ACF and to help promote the benefits of the cadet movement to a broad range of stakeholders and the general public.

The ACF gives young people (boys and girls aged 12-18) an exciting programme of military-themed, adventurous, community and educational activities. The ACF is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. At present there are over 41,000 cadets and 9,500 adult volunteers throughout the UK.
