West Mids school Biennial Inspection

Old Swinford Hospital School CCF in Stourbridge, West Midlands, recently had their Biennial Inspection.

Both the schools Army and RAF sections were inspected by Colonel Freddie Kemp.

During the afternoon of Thursday 12 October, a parade was held of 70 cadets under the command of Major M Thompson, Contingent Commander of OSH CCF.

On completion of the parade, the inspecting officer assessed the cadets undertaking a variety of training activities including weapons training; group shooting at the school’s 23m indoor barrack range; first aid; rations; basha building; infantry tactics and some classroom instruction.

The Colonel gave his final address to the assembled cadets in the Great Hall and awarded SSI Paternotte his Cadet Force medal for his service to the cadet force.
