On 14 March, Bromsgrove School CCF opened their doors for their Biennial Inspection.

More than 300 cadets engaged in 11 different stands across the day, showcasing the skills they’ve learnt from the cadet programme.

The Reviewing Officer, Colonel Knutton, toured the school grounds as well as visiting a cadet group that were carrying out their activities off-site and spoke to as many of the cadets and staff as possible.

Cadets undertook a wide range of training, from radio communication, shooting air rifles, rocketry, practical leadership tasks, explosive ordinance disposal demonstrations and a field exercise to name but a few.

School Staff Instructor Jeff Farnes, formally of the Royal Corps of Signals, ably ran the co-ordination of the day and said: “Current members of this historic CCF can feel justly proud of their accomplishments and step forward with pride.”
