Back in July, The Gilberd School CCF took part in the national Burpee Battle challenge to help raise vital funds for the CCFA.
In one parade evening, the contingent completed 3,232 burpees, with one year 8 cadet doing an incredible 37 burpees in one minute! The contingent raised an amazing £1,035. Well done on such an incredible achievement!
Is Your CCF up to the Burpee Battle?
The Cadet Burpee Battle is a nationwide fundraising challenge that puts your fitness, determination, and teamwork to the test. Cadets have just 60 seconds to complete as many burpees as possible, all while collecting sponsorships to support the CCFA.
But this is about more than just exercise. Each burpee represents resilience, leadership, teamwork, and service – characteristics that all cadets have. It’s about giving back to a charity that invests in you and cadets like you across the UK.
The challenge was started by Army Reservist and Cadet Instructor Mark Bailey – to learn more about Mark and the Burpee Battle, please click here.
