Ready to push your limits and give back to the cadet community? The Cadet Burpee Battle is here – a one-minute challenge uniting Army, Air, and Sea Cadet sections across the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Army Cadet Force (ACF), and other cadet organisations across the UK. This is your chance to test your resilience, raise funds, and make a real impact.

What Is the Cadet Burpee Battle?

The Cadet Burpee Battle is a nationwide fundraising challenge that puts your fitness, determination, and teamwork to the test. Cadets have just 60 seconds to complete as many burpees as possible, all while collecting sponsorships to support the Combined Cadet Force Association Charity (CCFA).

But this is about more than just exercise. Each burpee represents resilience, leadership, teamwork, and service – the core values of every cadet. It’s about giving back to a charity that invests in you and cadets like you across the UK.

Where It All Started

This challenge was inspired by Army Reservist and Cadet Instructor Mark Bailey, who set out to break four Guinness World Records:

  • Most Burpees in 1 Minute
  • Most Burpees in 3 Minutes
  • Most Chest-to-Floor Push-Up Burpees in 1 Minute
  • Fastest 1 Mile of Burpee Broad Jumps

But Mark didn’t want to stop there. He wanted his efforts to fuel something bigger – a movement for cadets across the UK. The Cadet Burpee Battle was born from this vision: a challenge open to all cadet sections, raising funds for the charity that supports their training, camps, and personal development.

How It Works

It’s simple. Get your unit involved too and make every second count:

  • Complete as many burpees as you can in 1 minute
  • Ask friends and family to sponsor you
  • Submit your burpee count and media using the online form

Deadline for submissions: 30th November 2025

All burpee totals, photos/videos, and donations must be submitted by this date to be eligible for national recognition and awards.

National Awards

The challenge isn’t just about participation – there are titles up for grabs:

  • Top Individual Cadet – Most burpees in 1 minute
  • Top Individual Fundraiser – Most money raised
  • Best Overall Unit – Highest combined total of burpees and donations
  • Top Army, Air, and Sea Cadet Units

Why It Matters

The CCFA plays a vital role in supporting cadets and their units – from delivering leadership and adventure training to funding key experiences that shape your journey in the CCF.

By taking part in the Cadet Burpee Battle, you’re giving back to a charity that directly invests in you and your fellow cadets. Together, we can ensure that cadets from all backgrounds continue to access the life-changing opportunities the CCF provides.
