Ash Manor School Combined Cadet Force recently acquired a mast that required installation. Unfortunately, finding a company that was willing to do the work at a reasonable cost proved to be a challenge. However, after some phone calls, our School Staff Instructor WO2 Chalmers was able to coordinate a joint venture between Mr Colin Campbell from The Parachute Regiment Association and Mr Spencer Griffiths from The McAvoy Group. Both Mr Campbell and Mr Griffiths kindly agreed to assist with the installation, with the aim of strengthening community ties.
Cadets Celebrate as New Mast Becomes Centerpiece of Ash Manor School Campus
Ash Manor School Combined Cadet Force recently acquired a mast that required installation. Unfortunately, finding a company that was willing to do the work at a reasonable cost proved to be a challenge.
It is worth noting that The McAvoy Group is currently working on the new Art, Design and Technology block at Ash Manor School. On Monday 2 October, Mr Campbell and Mr Spencer formally presented the mast to Miss Agnes Bailey, the Headteacher of Ash Manor School, and Major Claire Johnson, CCF Contingent Commander. The cadets who were not training off-site were present for the occasion, and they are thrilled to have a central focal point for their parades.
The installation of the mast was successful, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Mr Campbell, Mr Griffiths, and WO2 Chalmers. It was a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and work towards a common goal. The new mast will serve as an important landmark for the school and will continue to be a central focal point for the cadets' parades. The Ash Manor School Combined Cadet Force is grateful for the support they received and looks forward to continuing their community links with organisations such as The Parachute Regiment Association and The McAvoy Group. We appreciate the significant impact that these organisations have made on the school and its community.
