The CCF cadets were invited to attend the Western Front Association’s annual service of Remembrance in Whitehall on Saturday 11 November.

Two wreaths were laid at the Cenotaph by the cadets and they also participated in a two-minute silence.

Cadets from the Army and RAF sections at both schools were invited to represent the nation’s young people, schools and cadet forces.

King’s School CCF Cadet, SSM Adam Armstrong, said: “Laying a wreath on the Cenotaph on behalf of the King’s School Grantham was certainly a highlight of my five year cadet career. I can now leave safe in the knowledge I have a lasting memory of the Combined Cadet Force.”

King’s School CCF, Flt Sgt Kevin Mason, said: “It was an honour and a privilege to represent the Combined Cadet Force on such a fantastic occasion. This certainly goes down as the best thing I have done with cadets.”
