Among the many well deserved awards on this year's New Year's Honours list, were several representatives of the Cadet Forces. As well as several dedicated adult instructors from all the Services, the year's awards also saw Army Cadet Jeremiah Emmanuel awarded a British Empire Medal, at the age of just seventeen.
A particular congratulations from CCFA goes to Colonel Chris Sharwood-Smith the Colonel Cadets in 7 Brigade, who has overall responsibility of the ACF and CCF cadets in the area, as well as Captain Verna Jacqueline Burrell-Taylor, of Charterhouse School, both of whom were awarded an MBE.,
