The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is fundraising for the Cadet Bursary Fund (CBF), a fund set up to support state schools, particularly those in less affluent parts of the UK, with the costs of establishing and sustaining new CCF units, set up as part of the Cadet Expansion Programme. Managed by the national charity CCFA, the fund has already successfully raised over £1 million to help the first 100 new cadet units.
The aim now is to support the setting up of a further 150 cadet units in state schools by 2020, with a focus on reaching those schools in areas of high deprivation where the need is greatest, and areas where cadet provision is not currently available. To achieve this, we need to raise a further £2.75 million.
