The CVQO Westminster Award is an annual competition to seek out and reward the best of CVQO’s learners. The ethos of the award is selflessness, community spirit and altruism.

How does it work?

The CVQO Westminster Award runs from November, where nominations are first made, to July, where the winners go to South Africa, each year.

What is the criteria?

Simply sit within the appropriate age bracket (nominees must have been born between 1st September 1999 and 31st August 2001), be enrolled on or have completed a CVQO-led qualification and fit the description they’re looking for. That's it.

There can be one nomination per CCF contingent (the competition is also open to all other CVQO-partnered youth organisations).

2018 timings:

Tuesday 21 November - nominations open

Monday 22 January - nominations close

End January - nominations sorted and marked by CVQO, successful nominees notified

End January - stage 2 challenge set

Mid February - stage 2 submissions received and marked by CVQO

End February - successful nominees notified

Tuesday 3 - Friday 6 April - selection event at Outposts in Somerset

End April - South Africa finalists notified

Thursday 21 June - House of Lords lunch for finalists

Tuesday 10 - Monday 23 July - South Africa trip!
