Every year, millions of people in the UK and around the world pause to remember those who lost their lives on active service in conflicts – from the beginning of the First World War to the present day, as well as remembering all those who have served and their families.
The CCF is proud to take part in such important services, and we’ve provided a roundup of what just some of our CCF Contingents have done over Remembrance Weekend.
Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance
Every year, the Royal British Legion hosts the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Broadcasted on the BBC on 8 November 2025, the service honoured the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces Community. Attendees included Their Majesties The King and Queen, as well Her Royal Highness (HRH) The Princess of Wales and Prince George, along with celebrity performances from Sir Rod Stewert and Hannah Waddingham.
Flight Sergeant Davis, St Brigid’s School CCF, was one of the Banner Bearers at the festival and did an excellent job – congratulations Flight Sergeant Davis, we are extremely proud of you.
Remembrance Sunday – The Cenotaph on Whitehall, London
9 November saw three CCF schools take part in the National Service of Remembrance from The Cenotaph on Whitehall. In front of Senior Members of The Royal Family, leading UK politicians, representatives of the armed forces, Commonwealth nations and faith communities, Rydal Penrhos School, Myddleton College and St Brigid’s School CCF Contingents marched alongside 10,000 veterans and eligible participants in The Cenotaph Parade.
Congratulations to all who took part in this poignant and moving occasion.
