The Rifles Cadet Cup Competition took place in Nescliff Training Area in Shropshire and cadets completed 9 stands based around subjects in the Army Cadet Military Syllabus, plus a selection of new challenges to add an additional testing experience for the cadets.
On completion of the stands, teams were led on a rapid march before a simulated range shoot to complete the competition.

Success for CCF in Rifles Cadet Cup
Congratulations to everyone taking part in the 2026 Rifles Cadet Cup!The competition welcomed 19 teams, 152 cadets and over 76 Adult Volunteers. The results are in... who took the top spots?
A team of 6 cadets from Luckley House School CCF were awarded Best CCF in the Area.
We spoke to them after an exciting, testing and extremely close competition:
"This weekend, Luckley House School CCF deployed to the Rifles Cadet Cup under our own banner, led by RSM Rory A and Serjeant Eleanor A, alongside six cadets.
Their aim was to represent the school to the very best of their ability and strive to be the best CCF Contingent in the area. Arriving in Shrewsbury late on Friday evening, the team were up early on Saturday for a safety brief before beginning a demanding nine-stand rotation against 19 other Cadet units, many of which were CCF Contingents.
The competition tested the teams across a wide range of skills, including mine clearance, first aid, section attacks and command tasks, among others. Having completed all nine stands, the team finished the competition with a challenging march and shoot, which they completed late on Sunday morning.
The team then eagerly awaited the results, and on Sunday afternoon the fantastic news was confirmed: 2nd Best Rifles CCF nationally and Best CCF in the Area, beating all local rivals.
A fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination of the whole team.
Well done to Rory, Eleanor and all six cadets on an outstanding performance. A special mention to Eleanor, who will be leading next year's team — we wish her every success."
