School Staff Instructor – Combined Cadet Force
LOCATION/BASED: Callerton Academy and/or North Gosforth Academy
GRADE: N5
RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal/Head of School
CORE PURPOSE: The School Staff Instructor delivers vital support and administration to their Contingent Commander, and to Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) and cadets in all Sections, that ensures the safe, effective and efficient running of the Contingent.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to two schools that are proud to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, enabling every student to succeed and equipping them with the skills needed to navigate the challenges of adult life. Alongside academic achievement, we place strong emphasis on developing respectful, resilient young people who make positive contributions to their communities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and promoting the CCF across both schools, acting as the main point of contact for cadets. Working closely with the Contingent Commander, the post holder will provide logistical and organisational support for the unit, helping to plan and deliver an engaging training programme, as well as supporting exercises and residential camps throughout the year.
