The campaign is a chance thank volunteers for their invaluable efforts as well as being able to shine the spotlight on the importance of volunteer work within our society.
Volunteers are often described as the backbone of our communities - they provide help and leadership, donating their time to provide essential services that might not be able to operate otherwise.
The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) simply wouldn’t exist without our adult volunteers. We would like to say a massive thank you to all our adult volunteers who go above and beyond for our cadets and contingents every single day. From leading parade nights and spearheading expeditions to the incredibly thoughtful gestures, such as one volunteer baking every cadet a birthday cake on their special day. Your dedication is immeasurable and the heartbeat of this organisation.
Making a Positive Difference
Volunteering with the CCF isn’t just about giving back, it’s a powerful way to enhance your own leadership skills and self-confidence, whilst mentoring the next generation. As a CCF adult volunteer, you can gain accredited skills and personal development, whilst making a tangible, positive difference to the lives of young people.
We spoke to some of our adult volunteers from schools across the UK to find out why they love volunteering.
Flight Officer Imogen Adkins, Stowe School CCF comments “it is a genuine privilege watching cadets gain in confidence and leadership skills. The CCF is an impressive organisation with clear values and an admirable commitment to enhancing the lives of young adults. It is a place where volunteers can make a real difference to the direction and outcome of someone’s life.”
Lieutenant Louis Turner, Strathearn School CCF notes “I genuinely believe we all have a moral duty to contribute positively to society. Volunteering with the CCF is one way I try to live out that belief. It allows me to make a meaningful difference, give back to the next generation and play a small part in shaping young people who will go on to strengthen and enrich our communities.”
The Biggest of Thank You’s
With over 4,000 adult volunteers supporting over 50,000 cadets in 450+ schools across the UK, the CCF is deeply proud of the dedicated team making this program a safe, fun, and rewarding experience.
Your hard work in planning and delivering these opportunities is invaluable - thank you for everything you do for our cadets, our schools and the wider community.
